I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
